Reading Passage
My favourite place is my back yard. It’s not big, but I like it. My neighbour grows prettier flowers than I do, and he even has fruit trees in his yard, but I’m still more comfortable in my yard. What I like is that it’s quiet. You can’t hear the traffic. All you can hear are the birds singing. I have two chairs at one end of the yard, under a tree. This is, for me, the best place in the world. From there I can watch the trees and the birds, and I can make myself comfortable. Sometimes my wife and I spend all Sunday afternoon in those chairs, drinking iced tea and talking or reading.
